Business event organisers experience a side of Kirikiriroa they have never seen before

National business event organisers were invited to experience and uncover some of Hamilton’s latest offerings. On the two-day bespoke hosting: ‘Kirikiriroa, where stories come alive’ Claudelands and Novotel Tainui Hamilton welcomed guests on a journey of exploration and discovery, showcasing fresh new delights Hamilton has to offer.
H3 Business Development Manager – Business Events, Melissa Williams says, “Our goal was to wow, surprise and delight our guests, providing them with a highly memorable immersive experience, allowing them to explore and enjoy a taste of what Hamilton, our venues and services have to offer.”
The famil was meticulously designed to ensure our guests encountered the new, innovative areas within our city. As they delved into the heart of Hamilton, they also discovered the captivating stories behind the city’s rapid development, whilst enjoying the wide-ranging offerings of Novotel Tainui Hamilton, ibis Hamilton and GLOBOX Arena & Events Centre, Claudelands.
The famil began at Novotel Tainui Hamilton where guests were welcomed by the Novotel Tainui Hamilton and Claudelands team and treated to a delicious fresh feast. This was closely followed by a guided walking tour of the city along the Waikato River where guests learnt all about Hamilton’s history and culture, ending the day with an incredibly unique hosting at GLOBOX Arena & Events Centre, Claudelands.
Upon arriving at Claudelands guests were driven into GLOBOX Arena and began their visit with a creative site tour of the venue. Key partners Vidcom New Zealand and Montana Food and Events met with guests to highlight their offering and their valued partnership with H3 Group.
Following the site tour guests were transported to The Barn, Claudelands where they discovered ‘Claudelands Clay’ a bespoke pottery studio created by the Claudelands team. Guests had the chance to personalise their own handmade clay mugs and witness a pottery wheel demonstration. They even had the opportunity to give the pottery wheel a spin themselves.
The evening continued where guests were transported to the stunning outdoor Claudelands Terrace where a sensational three-course family style dinner, carvery station, and live musician awaited them. A true fine dining experience under the stars, and the perfect ending to an extraordinary day.
The final day saw guests experience a stunning sunrise yoga session on Victoria on the River, an in-depth visit of MADE and introduction with Matthew Stark, Director of Stark Property, Grey Roasting Co, Hamilton Gardens, Ruakura Superhub, FMG Stadium Waikato, and Tieke Golf Estate – a truly packed day full of delightful surprises and insightful behind the scenes experiences.
Claudelands is managed by H3, a unit of Hamilton City Council responsible for overseeing Hamilton’s premier event venues.
