Global Medical Experts Converge in Hamilton
Claudelands Conference and Exhibition Centre proudly hosted world-renowned medical specialists at a prestigious three-day conference in Hamilton from November 27-29, 2024.
The Annual Scientific Meeting of the New Zealand Society of Gastroenterology (NZSG) and the NZNO Gastroenterology Nurses' College brought together some of the brightest local and international medical minds to explore new frontiers in gastroenterology and hepatology.
Esteemed experts from America were among the invited delegates, including leading professionals from Canada and Australia. They converged in Hamilton to share their cutting-edge research and clinical insights, underscoring the city's growing reputation as a hub for scientific excellence and medical advancement.
“Eleven world-leading specialists, including seven from the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, New York, traveled to New Zealand for the conference. This is a wonderful achievement for the New Zealand Society of Gastroenterology and a credit to the Waikato-based convenors – Dr. Melissa Haines and Dr. Jerry Chin. This is a clear example of how business events have an impact wider than economic,” said Emma Prattley, Project Manager at Conference Innovators.
The presence of such distinguished speakers highlighted the global significance of this event and its contribution to advancing gastrointestinal and liver health.
Ben Slatter, Director of H3, was thrilled to welcome an impressive roster of world-renowned gastroenterology and medical specialists to the vibrant city.
“Our city is known for providing an exceptional experience for delegates and offers an ideal backdrop for international conferences. We are pleased to have extended a warm welcome to all participants from near and far and are proud to have showcased the best of Hamilton's hospitality,” said Slatter.
This is the third time Claudelands has welcomed the New Zealand Society of Gastroenterology, and each time the event continues to grow from strength to strength, further affirming how valuable it is for industry peers, stakeholders, and clients to connect, collaborate, and celebrate.
