The Future Sounds Good: Jim Beam Homegrown Announces Hamilton Date 2027
Thousands of fans, seven stages, one city-wide takeover – such was the success of Jim Beam Homegrown’s move to Hamilton, festival organisers are set to do it all again.
Andrew Tuck, Jim Beam Homegrown CEO, has confirmed Jim Beam Homegrown will return to Claudelands Oval in Kirikiriroa Hamilton on Saturday 3 April, 2027.
“We always believed Hamilton was the right move for Homegrown, and 2026 proved it,” says Tuck. “There was a real energy from the city, the fans, and the artists. Locking in 2027 is about building on that momentum and continuing to grow something pretty special in the Waikato.”
The 2026 event drew around 25,000 people to the city and delivered a strong boost to the local economy. Tuck says that scale is exactly what the move north unlocked.
“Hamilton gives us the room to go bigger,” he says. “What we delivered in 2026 was just the beginning. The space, the layout, and the support from the city allowed us to take Homegrown to another level. We’ve got bigger plans for 2027.”
Loyal fan tickets on sale during New Zealand Music Month
New Zealand’s largest all-Kiwi music festival, Jim Beam Homegrown 2027 will once again bring together multiple stages, a genre-spanning line-up, and a full-scale festival experience in one location at Claudelands Oval.
“Homegrown has always been about more than just music,” Tuck says. “It’s about bringing people together. You show up with your crew, and by the end of the day, you’ve got a few more. That’s what makes it special.”
Loyal fan registrations open 7pm on Monday, 27 April, providing exclusive first access to limited loyal fan tickets which go on sale at 8am on Tuesday, 5 May in celebration of New Zealand Music Month.
“As we head into our 20th year, backing Kiwi music is still at the heart of everything we do,” says Tuck. “Releasing our first loyal fan tickets during New Zealand Music Month is a chance to celebrate the industry we’re part of and the people who’ve supported us along the way.”
